VENTILATION SYSTEMS
Explanations of the different exhaust and ventilation systems available.
What vent system will my copper hood use?
We offer Trade Wind vent systems for purchase with your hood (in-hood, in-attic, and no-motor options). We can also build a hood around any specified ventilation system. We custom fit our hoods to prevent any gaps between the hood and the vent. Just call us with the dimensions and we'll get started.
What does motor fan in hood + liner mean?
The motor fan sits inside your copper hood and the liner insert sits flush or recessed in the bottom of the hood.
What does motor in attic + liner mean?
This system requires an accessible attic space. The blower is mounted in an attic and wired to the liner. This option is quieter as the blower is further away from your ear than the in-hood blower. The insert also sits flush with the hood.
What does no motor + liner mean?
This system is used with a separate external blower system outside your building. This is the quietest option of any vent system since the blower is entirely outside of the building.
